Founded in 1831, New York University is one of the largest private universities in the United States. The University, which includes 14 schools and colleges, occupies six major centers in Manhattan.
With over 115 buildings in New York, NYU has more than 500 ongoing projects at various stages of development. NYU contracted with SGP International to develop a Planning and Construction System to help them manage their construction projects.
From proposals and bid through code enforcement, completion and invoice, the Planning and Construction System tracks the budget, commitment and actual results by project, expediter, category and site, leading to greater efficiencies and tighter control of their construction projects.
NYU’s 35 office and field workers rely on the system to accurately track projects. Without the Planning and Construction System, they could not confidently manage so many projects with such a high degree of certainty.
